There are different surfaces surround us. They all have different names and they give an opportunity to do a lot to do with itself, apparently, demanding nothing in return. We all ourselves are surfaces too: we erase something from our memory, and some facts remain with us forever, as traces of time on stones… In the sixteenth time composing, drawing and modeling the next surface of the Experimental environment, we ‘ve tried to interfere into a dialogue with it, to open mysterious levels, to foresee stratifications. It has appeared that to see all space and its landscapes, it is necessary both to rise up, and dramatically to fall into the depth of own thoughts and feelings, often losing the feeling of place and time. And only then, through efforts, there are the view points and visual angles, which unite different subject lines, to be seen. Reading the magazine, examining its surfaces and entering spaces, you, of course, lay your own route, find other reference points which will be the base for new stories...
Your «terra incognita» and editor-in-chief Irina Sokolova
The 16th issue is the last one. With this issue we complete the project of the student's magazine „Experiment”, anyway in the form it has been known for last eight years. We thank all, who took part in the realization of this project — designers, editors, correspondents, artists, illustrators, and many, many other people, who implemented the idea of the magazine into life. We want to express a very special gratitude to the administration of the university and personally to Dmitriy Arsenjev and Vladimir Ivanov who always supported us and gave us an opportunity to create the arbitrary design we dared ourselves on the "Experiment" pages.
Later we are going to ... ... but, it is already another story ...
